Rice in a paella pan,
in central Granada

At Pimienta Rosa there are two rice dishes on the menu, and both come to the table in their paella pan: black rice with cuttlefish and king prawns, and dry rice with Iberian presa and artichokes. They are ordered for a minimum of two people and eaten on Plaza Pescadería, a short walk from the Cathedral.

Black rice with cuttlefish and king prawns

This is the rice that appears most in our photos, and it's easy to see why: black cuttlefish rice, whole king prawns on top and the paella pan in the middle of the table, to share.

If you like seafood and want a rice that tastes of the sea in the heart of Granada, it's the one we suggest trying first.

Dry rice with Iberian presa and artichokes

The other side of the menu: dry rice, from the land, with Iberian presa and artichokes. For anyone who prefers meat to seafood, or to order one of each if there are more of you at the table.

How to order it and what to have with it

The usual way is to open with something to share — some croquettes or the artichoke flowers with romesco — and let the rice be the centre of the meal. To drink, a white from the list or a cold beer.

We open continuously, so rice also works for a late lunch, without watching the kitchen clock.

· About the rice dishes

What you ask us.

We make rice dishes in a paella pan: black rice with cuttlefish and king prawns, and dry rice with Iberian presa and artichokes. It isn't a Valencian paella with a set recipe, but if you're looking for rice in a paella pan in central Granada, these are ours.

They are served for a minimum of two people. The menu price is shown on this same page, in euros with VAT included.

The minimum is two people. If you're on your own, call us on +34 958 25 61 68 and we'll tell you what we can do, or have a look at the individual dishes on the menu.

They are listed next to each rice dish on this page, as they appear in the restaurant's allergen chart. If you have an allergy or intolerance, tell us when booking or when you sit down.
